The SCAT™ (School and College Ability Test™) is designed to be above grade level which means it is supposed to be difficult, even for very bright children. This quiz is typically given to students trying to gain entrance to gifted and talented schools or programs, like the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth® (CTY®).
Students in grades 2-3 take the Elementary SCAT™ (Verbal and Quantitative) designed for 3-6 graders.
Students in grades 4-5 take the Intermediate SCAT™ (Verbal and Quantitative) designed for 6-9 graders.
Students in grade 6 take the Advanced SCAT™ (Verbal and Quantitative) designed for 9-12 graders.
Since students can only take the test twice per academic year, a mock test can identify areas of weakness to improve BEFORE the actual test. Aristotle Circle is the #1 test preparation provider for children seeking entrance to gifted and talented programs.
